The blank is made from Japanese TORAYCA(TM) high modulus carbon from Toray Industries Inc. The blank has five layers, the inner one of 40T carbon and the outer one of 46T carbon. This carbon modulus ensures that the blank is extra stiff and allows for longer and more accurate casts. This material ranks among the absolute world's best, and makes these rods significantly lighter while maintaining stiffness.
